Potential induced degradation (PID) is a serious threat for the photovoltaic (PV) industry. The risk of PID may increase with increasing operating voltage PV systems. Although tests are currently standard tests, expansion floating power plants and installation in humid climates show that PID-free modules still sensitive to this type degradation. Therefore, method can detect initial phase before reveal it, necessary reliability systems maintain their lifetime. One possible tool revealing early-stage manifestations impedance spectroscopy I-V dark curves measurements. Both IS current measurement methods cell shunt resistance (RSH), which strongly influenced by significant loss act as an early stage detection mechanism. paper describes differences common P-type module parameters both during process also regeneration when diagnosed conventional methods.
